1966~1979

• 1966. 05 Established Pan Ocean Bulk Carriers Co., Ltd.
• 1967. 11 Began the operation of large oil tankers for the first time in Korea
  (four 54,000 DWT class oil tankers)
• 1969. 05 Signed a contract to build 324,000 DWT class ULCC
• 1972. 11 Expanded business area to the dry cargo transportation sector
• 1974. 09 Owned a fleet of 20 vessels exceeding 700,000 DWT (29.5% of the national fleet)
• 1975. 04 Selected as a large shipping company in the tramper sector by the Korean government
• 1977. 04 Began breakbulk liner service between Korea and North America
• 1977. 06 Began car carrier service between Japan and the U.S.A.
• 1978. 12 Owned a fleet of 31 vessels exceeding 1,000,000 DWT
• 1979. 03 Won the President Prize at the 3rd Shipping Day
